Daily commuting
This week, I feel that even the traffic jam is a lot more comfortable, after all, the urban transportation can be said to be the scene where this car can play its best advantage.
Like I commute 30 kilometers round trip, you can use EV mode directly and drive it as a pure tram. Specifically, the test drive I got was the Changling version, and the pure electric endurance under the WLTC standard was 73km (if it was the Changyue version, the pure electric endurance was 76km). I actually measured and found that this car can run about 60 kilometers in pure electric mode in Beijing in winter, and the endurance is quite solid.
If there is a slow charging pile near the community or the company, charge it every two days, and you can run as a tram for a week, and the fuel money will not be saved?
In addition, the operating quality of this plug-in and mixing system is also a plus. As long as the footwork is not radical, it is the motor that takes priority in intervention, smooth, fast, and quiet, and the urban driving is much more textured and advanced than many oil trucks.
But you have to step on the throttle a little more, the engine in hybrid mode is not violently involved, it and the motor is very tacit, which can be called "moisturizing and silent". The power output of the whole vehicle is also sufficient, and acceleration and overtaking are more than enough.
As for the overall driving experience, if the impression of Lexus in the past is comfortable, then this car is not so "Lexus".
The car is based on the new GA-K platform and has been specially tuned on the "Oriental Nürburgring" track at Toyota's Xiashan Technical Center, so the driving texture is quite improved: its chassis is tighter, the steering feel is thicker, it is more sporty than the "just right" of Lexus, and it feels like it is also catering to energetic young people.
Impression evaluation
For the new generation of NX, I was also impressed by its sense of atmosphere.
Needless to say, the size does not change much, but it looks a lot more handsome. One of the advantages of the GA-K platform is the low center of gravity, the tire to the wheel eyebrow is four fingers, similar to many family cars; the spindle-shaped mouth has been replaced with new details, larger and more fierce.
When it comes to the atmosphere of the interior, under the "TAZUNA rein concept", the entire cockpit is more inclined to the driver's side, which is more comfortable for both visual and somatic feeling.
Also, it was really cool to look at the map with a large 14-inch screen. Its central control screen is clear, the car machine system is clear, concise and beautiful, which is better to use than the previous Lexus car machine, and it is also equipped with CarPlay and Carlife as standard.
On the steering wheel of the high-end model is the touch function button, the operation process can be projected on the HUD, so that when driving operation, I do not have to bow my head frequently, more secure, this small design is also very intimate.
Its doors are also worth mentioning. The new generation of NX is equipped with a standard e-Latch intelligent electronic control door with an electronic control switch on the inside. But its existence is not for the sake of showmanship, I actually measured and found that this configuration combined with the rear monitoring system, can effectively avoid "opening the door to kill".
For example, when the people in the car want to get off the car, if there is a vehicle or electric bicycle behind, the system will detect that it will give you a prompt, at which time you can not open the car door directly. Isn't that sweet?
In fact, for the changes in this car, at first glance, it will not feel so earth-shattering. However, the adjustment of details, the addition of intelligent configuration, the introduction of plug-in hybrid power systems and other practices have allowed us to see the new trends, new designs and new attitudes of Lexus. It also makes the new generation of NX look like a link between the old and the new, and a sharp soldier to lead the way for rejuvenation.

The most intuitive, the appearance, interior, functional configuration, etc. have indeed been upgraded a lot, retaining the consistent texture of Lexus, and at the same time more youthful, very suitable for young people or young families.
The power performance of the new plug-in and mixing system is also quite good, coupled with the exemption of purchase tax for plug-in and mixed models, many areas also have preferential policies for new energy, and do not need indicators to directly go to the green card. If there are charging conditions near home or company, plug-in hybrid models I would recommend.
Of course, the plug-in hybrid model is only one of the versions of the NX series, in the range of more than 300,000-500,000, there are also fuel, hybrid version, and there are many options.
Maybe it won't be the best selling in the NX series in the short term, but I've had a great week with it. Accustomed to its quiet and smooth and worry-free and money-saving, I am really reluctant when returning the car, and I look forward to experiencing more Lexus plug-in models in the future.
