BYD officially announced that this year's sales target will exceed one million units!
According to the news on February 23, BYD recently announced its electric vehicle sales target for 2022, saying that it will reach sales of 1.1-1.2 million vehicles this year.
By the end of 2021, BYD has sold more than 1.5 million electric vehicles, in addition to more than 85,000 commercial vehicles. Therefore, in the plan announced this time, BYD also mentioned that it will achieve a cumulative sales target of 3 million vehicles by the end of this year, which means that it must sell 1.4 million to 1.5 million electric vehicles (including passenger cars and commercial vehicles) in 2022.
In 2021, BYD sold about 603783 electric vehicles (including 593745 passenger cars and 10,038 commercial vehicles) throughout the year. In other words, BYD's target sales this year will almost double, so it is difficult to achieve this goal.

By contrast, BYD's rival Tesla delivered 936172 cars throughout the year last year, all of them all electric. Foreign media expect Tesla's sales in 2022 to exceed 1.5 million vehicles, and the cumulative sales will be close to 4 million, so the gap between the two is still relatively large.

According to the effect drawings of BYD seals, this new car is somewhat similar to BYD Han, and even has some shadows of Weilai ET5.
In January this year, some netizens exposed spy photos of BYD seals, which were said to be the prototype cars of seals. At that time, some netizens commented that the seals would be equipped with frameless doors and an all-glass roof.

According to speculation, Seal will also use BYD's e-platform 3.0, which means that the car is likely to be equipped with BYD's 800V lithium iron phosphate blade battery. In addition, some media predict that the SEAL's NEDC range may be as high as 700 kilometers.
