This ding was excavated in 1980 from Zhuyuangou No. 7 Tomb in Baoji City Bow Fish National Cemetery, the era is the early Western Zhou Dynasty, the height is 36.8 cm, the caliber is 29.8 cm, and the weight is 6.7 kg. The mouth is peach-shaped, with erect ears, deep abdomen, round bottom, and columnar feet. The upper abdomen and the column foot are decorated with animal face patterns, and the lower abdomen is composed of two symmetrical dragons to form banana leaf patterns, lined with cloud thunder patterns.

This type of ornamentation in the form of banana leaves arranged vertically and symmetrically by the bodies of two beasts, most of which appeared on the neck and abdomen of The Ding, and was prevalent at the end of the Shang Dynasty and the beginning of the Zhou Dynasty. The animal face pattern ding in the figure below was excavated in 1972 from the Western Zhou Tomb in Liujia Village, Fufeng, Shaanxi Province, and the ornamentation is similar to that of the banana leaf pattern ding.

The owner of the banana leaf pattern is the first generation monarch of the Bow Fish Kingdom, the Bow Fish Bo Ge, who is the third generation of bow Fish Bo, at the time of King Kang and King Zhao. In his tomb M7, the famous Bo Ge Zun and Berg Gong were found, which is also a popular combination of wine vessels from the late Shang Dynasty to the early Western Zhou Dynasty. Copper Ding generation small method

In fact, we can break the generation through the position relationship between the two ears and the three feet of the copper ding, which is what scholars call the four-point matching style and the five-point matching style. First of all, let's talk about the four-point arrangement of the early Shang Dynasty: one foot of Ding corresponds to one ear, and the other one ear and two feet have a three-point distribution, and the overall distribution is four points, as shown in the following figure.
