Liangzhu culture jade is a representative of the southern jade of the Neolithic era, and its number, rich variety and exquisite carving have reached the peak of prehistoric jade. The ornamentation on the jade is the embodiment and belief of the Liangzhu ancestors' concept of "the unity of heaven and man", and has gradually become the core of traditional Chinese culture.
In addition, there is a special instrument shape, which is named hoop shape by modern archaeological circles.
Hoop shapers are divided into two types: one is a jade bracelet, the width is different, some of the outer wall cross-section is loach-backed, some of the cross-section is flat rectangular; the other is a cylindrical hoop shape, the outer wall is light-free ornamentation, and it is saddle concave. Extrapolating from the characteristics of the model, the social function and meaning given by the model are certainly not the same; posterity can only make a rough distinction between the excavation records and modern similar artifacts, which is also one of the pleasures of archaeology and playing with antiquity.

One: barrel hoop. The shape of the instrument is like a section of a cylinder, with a certain width. Most of the tubular hoops were unearthed in the Liangzhu cultural sites in Jiangsu, and the Liangzhu cultural sites in Yuhang, Zhejiang Province, have not unearthed such hoops. Through comparison, it can be found that the barrel hoop production system is relatively unified, representing the folk style of a region, which is embodied in the following aspects:
Size specifications: width is between 2.5 and 4 cm, outer diameter is between 6 and 8 cm Aperture of about 4 to 6 cm.
Shape: The outer walls are ground into a saddle shape with obvious concaveness, and the profile is characterized by a large and obvious angle of the lower depression on both sides near the edge, and the middle is flat, in the shape of a "concave" glyph.
The inner hole is ground after drilling, and the hole wall is finely ground, leaving traces of steps after drilling, and the touch is obvious.
Different from the materials used in other Liangzhu utensils, the hardness of this material is high, so the whole grinding and polishing can be extremely delicate and smooth. It feels smooth to the touch. In addition, the inner and outer corners are very sharp, no chamfer marks are seen, and the pulling feel is obvious.
Some scholars have classified this kind of cylindrical hoop into the bracelet category, because we currently have no archaeological records about the location of the excavation, so we can not make a false assertion, but judging by the aperture size of the hoop, such a small circle, even if worn by the deceased, it is difficult to put on the wrist through the hand. At the same time, we found that the material used in the barrel hoop is not used in other Liangzhu culture jade. Therefore, it can only be judged that such a barrel hoop can never be simply considered a bracelet, and should have its own unique existence significance.
In addition, there are strip hoops and curved hoops, and various research literature are recorded and checked, and this article will not be repeated.
The author's collection of this hoop is a typical barrel-shaped hoop as described above, the size is also within the scope of the specification, and the characteristics are almost identical to the excavations; the pulp is extremely thick, the whole vessel is colorful, and the multicolored under the light is said to be a must.
