During the Liangzhu culture period, beads and pipes were the most common and excavated jade ornaments, and they were also one of the earliest ornaments of mankind. The beads and tubes used for wearing are drilled with perforations for threading the tether thread, and some beads and tubes with tunnel holes are not ornaments but stitched ornaments. Beads and tubes can be worn as a single accessory or as a stringer.

Some jade tubes in the string have the same color and quality, and the thickness is basically the same, and adjacent jade tubes can often be combined and docked, and experts speculate that this jade tube may be made of the same piece of jade. After careful polishing, selection and combination, a beautiful jade pipe string can finally be born in the hands of craftsmen.

The length of Liangzhu cultural beads and pipe charms varies greatly, with the short ones consisting of dozens and as many as 1200 long. Therefore, some can only hang up to the neck and chest, while others can hang down to the waist and abdomen. Liangzhu people wear more than one string of necklaces, and some wear two strings. In the restoration of the king's funeral ceremony restored by experts, the jade pipe on the neck is strung around three times, which shows the dignity of his identity and status.
