On February 18, the website of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology released the "APP Circular on Infringement of User Rights and Interests (1st Batch of 2022, 21st Batch of Total)". In accordance with the Personal Information Protection Law, the Cybersecurity Law, the Telecommunications Regulations, the Provisions on the Protection of Personal Information of Telecommunications and Internet Users and other laws and regulations, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology recently organized a third-party testing agency to inspect mobile Internet applications (APP), and as of now, 107 APPS have not been rectified. At the same time, during the testing process, it was found that 13 embedded third-party software development kits (SDKs) had illegal collection of user device information.
Item 3 of the list of problematic APPS shows that the problems involved in the APP Cloud Home (application version: 10.3.6) developed by Kingdee Software (China) Co., Ltd. include: illegal use of personal information, app mandatory, frequent, excessive permission request. The app is derived from Baidu Mobile Assistant.
The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology said that the above APP and SDK should complete the rectification and implementation work before February 25. If rectification is not made within the time limit, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology will organize and carry out relevant disposal work in accordance with laws and regulations.
