Compared with the ground screen picture of the 2008 Beijing Summer Olympic Games, the LED ground screen of the Winter Olympics has two aspects of progress: First, the LED display resolution has been greatly improved, and the pixel spacing of the LED screen has been shortened from 20mm to 5mm. Compared with the technology in 2008, the LED display and its components provided by Leyard for the opening ceremony of the 2022 Winter Olympics all meet the IP66 protection standard, which can completely prevent the intrusion of foreign objects and withstand the amount of water entering the electrical appliance when strongly sprayed water will not have harmful effects. In addition, the LED ground screen display panel is also equipped with anti-glare, anti-moiré, anti-slip atomization mask, the display screen is soft, for the camera broadcast to provide a full focus section without clutter, no interference pure video display screen.
"The giant 'picture scroll' at the opening ceremony of the 2008 Olympic Games was an LED screen, when Zhang Yimou's team had a very fierce debate about whether to use or not use the LED display, because the LED display technology at that time was not mature enough, and there was often a situation of flashing pictures and black screens. The director team of the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics can already use LED luminous technology with confidence and boldness. Yuan Daoren told reporters that as a grand event of global attention, the BEIJING Winter Olympics need to have extreme reliability and stability. ZhouMing produces and prepares goods in accordance with aerospace standards, and achieves dual power supply and dual lamp double screen backup of LED ground screen. In layman's terms, each LED module is actually composed of two ab screens, and the A screen + B screen constitutes a complete screen, that is, a dual-screen system. Suppose one way goes wrong, the other road immediately gets on top, ensuring that the show is foolproof. In the end, we successfully completed the design of dual-lamp and dual-screen backup according to the requirements, and applied for a design patent for dual-lamp and dual-screen.
The crystal clear ice five rings are 19 meters long and 8.75 meters high, but only 35 centimeters thick, and their interior is composed of a 360° LED special-shaped screen without dead angles, which can realize the display of any picture and leave the maximum creative space for the opening ceremony director team. The person in charge of Lehman Optoelectronics Technology told the "China Electronic News" reporter that the creative design of the LED ice crystal five-ring stage is the world's first, and there is no similar design as a reference. The overall effect of the LED display is beautiful, heavy, distinct style, rich image level, uniform color; the five-ring screen achieves the display effect of the five rings of ice crystals after being uniformized by the diffuser plate skin. A significant technical feature of the ice crystal five rings is the use of a hollow light board design, which not only reduces the overall weight of the LED display, but also provides a solid foundation for the installation of the light board, the installation of the diffuser board and the heat dissipation, and the total weight of the LED display is only 700 kg.
The "snowflake" shaped main torch stand is another highlight that has attracted special attention during the Winter Olympics, and led displays are also used. The main torch stand has a diameter of 14.89 meters, consisting of 96 small snowflakes and 6 led double-sided screens in the form of olive branches, using a double-sided hollow design, embedded with more than 550,000 LED lamp beads, each lamp bead is independently controlled by a single channel driving the chip.

"Participating in the light service of the opening ceremony of the Beijing Winter Olympic Games, we successfully fought a hard battle!"
