The reporter learned from the Yangtze River Delta International Film and Television Center that the LED virtual screen of the East 1 Studio located in the Yangtze River Delta Film and Television Center was built before the Spring Festival last year, and is currently put into trial operation and displayed to the public from February 22 to February 28. With the landing of this technology, Shanghai Science and Technology Film will have the most advanced digital virtual studio in the country and even the world.
Xi Yue, general manager of the Yangtze River Delta International Film and Television Center Operating Company, introduced that the East 1 Studio is the second largest studio of the Yangtze River Delta International Film and Television Center, with an area of 2,000 square meters. During the first external display, the whole process of LED virtual shooting will be displayed on the studio site. The rescuers played by the actors sometimes advanced in the rocky cave, sometimes crouched down to check, the road ahead was dark, and the weeds caught in the crevices of the stones swayed in the wind against the sun. On the monitor, the camera's simultaneous shooting scene has generated a beautiful, realistic picture in real time, and it is difficult to imagine that this was taken in this simple and empty virtual studio. Without the blessing of this new technology, actors need to rely on imagination to complete the performance in front of the green screen. There are about 300 virtual scenes to choose from in the digital scene library of the LED virtual studio, which is convenient for one-second switching.
Xi Yue introduced that the traditional filming and construction transfer takes 1-2 weeks, and the virtual studio transfer only takes 10 minutes, and there is no need to wait for a long time during the scene arrangement, saving time and cost. Virtual venues have greater flexibility to save as much as possible on scene construction costs, cut transportation costs, reduce extras budgets, and reduce post-visual effects. Actors can perform in the studio in real time, different scenes, regions and countries, different seasons, climates, time, post-grading and other processing can also be completed in the shooting, so that the real shooting is obtained.
Up to now, 20 companies have approached LED virtual studio cooperation.
