It is said that when there is a conflict between the senior brothers, either each other's mentors come forward to mediate, or the senior brothers in the portal come forward to mediate, but because the task of sealing the gods is a hard indicator, it is definitely not feasible to let the two sides shake hands and make peace.
In this case, the Hongjun Daoist, who was their mentor, chose to lie on the top of the Thirty-Three Heavens and ignored the matter.
It is said that Taishang Laojun, who is their senior brother, should also follow the example of his teacher and choose not to help anyone.
However, the fact is that during the War of the Gods, Taishang Laojun chose to stand on the side of the Sect and deal with the Interception of the Sect with Yuan Shi Tianzun, which is manifested as:
First, the Ten Heavenly Monarchs of Jinao Island set up ten unique battles outside Xiqi City to explain the sect people, it is said that Taishang Laojun, as the master of both sides, should have stayed out of the matter.
However, in the process, he lent his treasure of enlightenment, the Taiji Diagram, to the Immortal Red Sperm to deal with the Ten Heavenly Monarchs, which undoubtedly showed the position of Taishang Laojun to "personally explain and intercept";
Second, the Three Xiao Immortals of the Sect used the Jiuqu Yellow River Array outside Xiqi City to abolish the thousand-year-old cultivation of the Twelve Golden Immortals.
It is said that this matter should be brought forward by Yuan Shi Tianzun to seek justice from Sanxiao, after all, he is the master of the Twelve Golden Immortals.
But I don't know if I was afraid of the magic weapon in Sanxiao's hand, or if I wouldn't break the formation at all, Yuan Shi Tianzun actually invited Taishang Laojun to help.
As Sanxiao's uncle, Taishang Laojun was also able to do it, first receiving two magic weapons in Sanxiao's hands, then capturing Yunxiao alive, and finally breaking the Yellow River Array;
Since then, Taishang Laojun has stood in line to explain the teachings;
Third, in the battle of the Zhuxian Array, Taishang Laojun directly tore his face with the little junior brother of the Tongtian Sect Master.
In this process, he first beat the Tongtian Sect Master with the crutches in his hand, then captured Tongtian's great apprentice Duobao Daoren alive, and finally broke the Zhuxian Array with the other three saints;
Fourth, in the battle of the Ten Thousand Immortal Array, Taishang Laojun still stood in line to explain the teachings, he first beat the Tongtian Sect Master during the siege, and then helped the Sect to break the Ten Thousand Immortal Array;
From the above four points, it can be seen that Taishang Laojun's attitude towards the exposition and interception of the two religions is obvious, that is, he selflessly helps the exposition of the teachings and suppresses the interception of the teachings.
So the question is, it's also a brother-in-law relationship, why did Taishang Laojun help Yuan Shi Tianzun, but not Tongtian Sect Master?
Tang Gu believes that it is nothing more than four words, that is, "mandate of heaven" and "duty";
Let's talk about "Mandate of Heaven" first;
To put it bluntly, the mandate of heaven cannot be violated, and in the gods, there are five things that have long been destined by the mandate of heaven, and the original text of the gods wrote:
One is to become a soup and extinguish; the second is the prosperity of the Zhou State; Three immortals suffered a catastrophe; Fourth, Jiang Ziya is rich and noble in the world; Fifth, there are gods who want to ask for titles.
"Chengtang and Annihilation", that is, the Shang Dynasty was doomed to perish, and "the Zhou State was prosperous", which means that the Western Zhou Dynasty wanted to replace the Shang Dynasty to unify the world.
Regarding these things that God has long predestined, the ancient goddess Nuwa Niangniang knows, so she will give up killing the king of Xu; Yun Zhongzi, the Qi refiner of Zhongnan Mountain, knows that because the above five points are all from the mouth of Yun Zhongzi; Yuan Shi Tianzun also knew, so she let Jiang Ziya go down the mountain to assist the famous monarch to achieve the emperor's business.
Since these three can know the Mandate of Heaven, Taishang Laojun, as the top boss in the fairy world, naturally knows it, and in the two sects, the exposition is helping the Western Zhou, and the interception is helping Shang.
From this, it can be seen that the exposition of the religion is in accordance with the mandate of heaven, and the interception of the religion is against the heavens.
Let's take a look at the responsibilities;
When the red sperm borrowed the magic weapon from the Taishang Laojun, he once called him the master of the teaching, and the red sperm was the master of the sect, and he called the Taishang Laojun the master of the teaching, which shows that the Taishang Laojun is the person who explains the teaching, and it can be seen from the three words "the big master" that his status in the teaching is even higher than that of the Yuan Shi Tianzun.
To put it bluntly, it is actually his duty to come out to deal with the teaching, that is, to minimize the loss of teaching;
To sum up, the reason why Taishang Laojun helped Yuan Shi Tianzun but did not help Tongtian Sect Master was because the mandate of heaven could not be violated, and secondly, because he was a high-level exposition, so he would maximize the benefits of expounding the teaching;
