On February 20, Musk reportedly confirmed that he would hold a celebration called Giga Fest for Texas residents at his new factory in Austin on April 7, which may become the largest outdoor barbecue in Texas history.
It is reported that in order to celebrate the completion of Europe's first gigafactory, Tesla once held a similar event at the gigafactory in Glenhead, southeast of Berlin, Germany.
Musk confirmed on his personal social media Twitter that the event will take place on April 7. Initially Musk said the event would take place on April 1. But it may soon become clear that it was April Fool's Day, and to avoid any unnecessary misunderstandings, another six days of the Texas Gigafactory celebrations were postponed to avoid any potential chaos.
It is reported that the local public can visit the Tesla factory at the event, and Tesla's event held in the Berlin Gigafactory has opened many novel factory facilities to local residents. Tesla also showed local residents the colors of Tesla's new car and the Parts of the Model Y electric car made at the Berlin Gigafactory.
It is reported that the number of Tesla activities in the Berlin Gigafactory is limited to 5,000 people. There is no indication yet how many people will be allowed to participate in events in Texas.
