When it comes to the architectural art of Kacheng, it has become more and more prominent in recent years. Casually take a walk around The Castle Downtown, there are plenty of places worth stopping and watching. Whether it is the bow tower building and the face sculpture in the square in front of the gate, the award-winning new central library of Kacheng, or the dazzling red Peace Bridge, it is a must-visit mecca for tourists. And now, Kacheng is going to go to a higher level in architecture! That's the Glenbow Museum. A remodeling project is underway here, and the renovated museum will become a city version of the "Louvre". Many ka city residents who like art will go to the Glenbow Museum on weekends to cultivate their emotions. It is an art and history museum that showcases the culture, art, history and Aboriginal character of Western Canada to visitors.

Founded in 1955 at the expense of lawyer/philanthropist Eric Lafferty Harvie, many of the art in the museum is also in Harvie's previous personal collection.

Relocated in 1976 to its current location in Downtown Ca' City, the museum houses an estimated 33,000 works of art, a microcosm of more than 200 years of culture in northwestern North America. The museum also houses some of the more famous paintings and art:

It looks like a typical museum, not ugly but not very eye-catching. The remodeling project will cost $175 million and is expected to be completed in 2024. The remodeled Glenbow Museum will have a new look.

Looking at the design blueprint, you can immediately glimpse the modern design of the interior of the building:

Just admiring these architectural details can make people feel amazing and unforgettable:

Such a wonderful museum is erected in downtown, echoing the fashionable white building of the new central library, and it feels like the urban art image of the city is immediately on the next level, and the citizens of the city are proud of being an ordinary card.

Even happier, on Thursday, the museum's chairman announced the good news: when it reopens in 2024, the Glenbow Museum will become permanently free to enter, and there will be no need to spend on tickets.

Previously, the ticket was 10 knives, and the annual pass was about 75 CAD, but when it reopens, the ticket will become 0 knives! Nicholas Bell, the museum's chairman, announced Thursday that the museum has decided to waive the admission fee permanently because of the $35 million donation received from the Shaw family of telecom giants! This will make the Glenbow Museum the first of Canada's major museums to be permanently exempt from admission fees! Governor Kenney is also very happy, saying that Glenbow will become a beautiful "face" to show the image of Calgary, which will attract more tourists to come here and let visitors from all over the world know that Alberta not only has beautiful Rocky Mountain Park, but also exquisite art culture

It is reported that the Shaw family made this donation in the name of their father JR Shaw, who loves art and hopes to pass on his passion for art to more generations, and the $10 million in donation will be dedicated to the construction of a JR Shaw Canadian Art Institute. Two years ago, the federal government announced a $40 million grant for the museum's remodeling project, and the province subsequently allocated $40 million, plus some corporate and private donations, and the Glenbow Museum has now raised a total of $152 million, more than $20 million from the total budget target of $175 million.
