Through Audi FAW New Energy Automobile Co., Ltd., Audi will continue to expand its lineup of locally electrified models and will build a new production base for Audi pure electric models based on the PPE platform. Over the past few months, Audi FAW New Energy Automobile Co., Ltd. has achieved another important milestone: the construction of a new plant in Changchun is poised to begin based on intensive preparations and approvals from relevant authorities. The implementation of the cross-regional environmental plan Mission Zero will facilitate sustainable production to better manufacture vehicles in Changchun through CO2 neutralization and full interconnection. In addition to production areas such as stamping, welding, painting, and final assembly workshops, the factory will also be equipped with its own battery assembly workshop. Construction of the plant's first building is scheduled to begin after the frost period ends.

Audi's first pure electric vehicle plant in China

The new plant in Changchun will be Audi's first production site in China dedicated to the production of all-electric models.
