In April 2019, RTM officially purchased 20 additional buses, with two orders totaling 44 double-decker buses, including 8 cab cars and 36 trailer models. The train is named "Smile", symbolizing the meaning of positivity, friendliness and harmony, and the maximum group of trains per train is 10 cars, which can operate in quasi-alpine environmental conditions.

During the implementation of the project, RTM and the project team of CRRC Tangshan jointly overcame the difficulties of the new crown epidemic, language barriers, and tight cycles. In order to achieve vehicle delivery as soon as possible, CRRC Tangshan Company and RTM innovation adopted the network remote video monitoring and witnessing method to promote the project development, and the project team achieved 24-hour time difference and transparent docking with RTM, sharing, communicating and solving technical problems in the production and test process in real time.

"The delivery of the first batch of cars marks a new breakthrough for CRRC Tangshan to achieve the American standard trunk line railway passenger car from market development to product delivery." The relevant person in charge said that this batch of vehicles has technically overcome the core technologies such as American Standard high-strength stainless steel body, collision energy absorption management, air conditioning system integration, fire protection, anti-overturning, anti-derailment, double-decker vehicle weight management, etc., forming a perfect American Standard rail vehicle testing, testing and quality management system, so that the design and manufacturing capabilities of American Standard trunk rail vehicles have reached a new level. At the same time, it has achieved win-win cooperation with multinational groups in business, laying a solid foundation for expanding the international rail transit equipment market.
