Philadelphia hosts the "Simmons Jersey for Vodka" event
Simmons left the 76ers, but Philadelphia fans didn't seem happy, and someone organized a "vodka with Simmons players" campaign, where a recycled Simmons jersey would be exchanged for a $25 gift card that would be donated to a shelter in Brooklyn.
The initiator said, "What are we doing with his clothes now?" Burn him, or tear him up, and someone suggested that we should donate it so they don't go to waste! "I think the people of Philadelphia love their athletes, and we want the players to love us and do their best to contribute to the team, but Simmons doesn't, he doesn't know our city."
