Research Directions

The research group is committed to the research of cutting-edge technological innovation systems such as non-coding RNA and genome editing, and in the past 5 years, it has mainly created and used a series of new processes for efficient computational biology analysis to carry out big data analysis, and cooperated and explored in frontier fields such as new mechanisms of exon cyclic RNA generation processing and functional action, base editing and modification interaction and regulation network, and development and application of new systems for efficient genome base editing, and achieved a series of important internationally leading original achievements.

He has published more than 50 correspondence or co-corresponding author research papers in academic journals such as Cell, Mol Cell, Nat Biotechnol, Genome Biol and Genome Res, and has been specially reviewed by Cell, Science and Nat Rev Mol Cell Biol, etc.; and has been invited to publish more than 10 newsletter or co-corresponding author reviews and special reviews in Cell, Science and Trends Cell Biol Google scholar is cited more than 16,000 times. The research results have applied for more than 10 patents, of which 3 patents have been authorized.

According to the official website of the Institute of Biomedical Sciences of Fudan University, the institute was established on May 21, 2005, and has formed three advantageous directions in the field of biomedical interdisciplinary field: "Molecular Cell Biology of Metabolism and Tumors", "Medical Epigenetics" and "Systematic Biomedicine", and is working hard to expand translational medicine research and precision medicine research, including tumor metabolism, tumor immunity, tumor diagnosis, cardiovascular disease, birth defects, target structure and active small molecules, omics and big data, stem cell technology, Organoid chips, biotherapy and intervention, etc., form new interdisciplinary growth points and downstream technologies.
