Samsung in-vehicle system developer HARMAN International recently announced the acquisition of Apostera, the German AR/MR navigation development team, the acquisition of Apostera will be used to strengthen HARMAN International's capabilities in automotive products, the two sides have not yet announced the specific terms of the transaction.

Apostera was founded in 2017 and its headquarters are located in Munich, Germany. The company's AR HUD solution combines augmented reality, machine learning, computer vision algorithms and sensor data, and is characterized by excellent virtual-real fusion effects for a variety of in-vehicle hardware. Apostera's AR and MR software solutions will expand HARMAN's automotive offerings and position the company at the forefront of automotive AR/MR experience design.
