Shanxi Bronze Museum is affiliated to Shanxi Museum and is the first provincial-level bronze thematic museum in China. The museum exhibits more than 2,200 bronze artifacts, from the Tao Temple to the Qin and Han Dynasties, spanning the entire Bronze Age. Among them, about 700 exhibits are from cultural relics recovered by the public security organs in recent years in the special struggle against cultural relics crimes.

The content of the exhibition is divided into three parts: "Huaxia Imprint", "Lile Spring and Autumn" and "Model Of Skills". "Huaxia Zhigen" tells the special status of Jin culture in the inheritance and development of Chinese civilization. "Lile Spring and Autumn" explains the distinctive characteristics of the use of Chinese bronzes as ceremonial vessels and the spiritual connotation of Lile civilization. The "Model of Craftsmanship" reflects the advanced techniques and outstanding contributions of ancient bronze casting.

Lile civilization is an important part of ancient Chinese civilization. Etiquette and music complement each other and constitute a complete and orderly socio-political and cultural system. From governing the country and ensuring national security to personal cultivation, the ritual music system guides and regulates all aspects of social life.

Ceremonial instruments are used when holding ceremonies, feasts, court appointments, wedding crowns, funerals, etc. These ceremonial instruments present people's different identity levels and value orientations through differences in materials, forms, decorations, colors, inscriptions and combinations.

With the change of the times, the relationship between bronze and ceremonial system gradually relaxed. After the Han Dynasty, bronze ceremonial vessels gradually faded out of history, but the spirit of the ritual music system has become the wealth of the Chinese nation.
