As an important part of the Grand Canal National Cultural Park, the Sui and Tang Grand Canal Cultural Museum is not only one of the landmark projects reflecting the culture of China's Grand Canal, but also an important starting point for Luoyang to deeply implement the strategy of cultural and creative integration of culture and tourism. On the 13th, the reporter visited the construction site and found that the construction of the museum venue has entered the end, reflecting the "heluo technology" design concept of the three-color ceramic "coat", creating a number of Luoyang's most large glass curtain wall... There are many highlights of this "national" museum building!

Museum wears a three-color ceramic "coat"
The Sui-Tang Grand Canal Cultural Museum is located in the northwest corner of the mouth of the LuoHe River, and the main body was capped in August last year. On the 13th, the reporter saw at the construction site that the façade and roof of the museum building used yellow three-color glazed tiles in a large area, just like putting on a three-color ceramic "coat", which looked like the skyline of the ancient palace complex from a distance.
The reporter observed that these three-color glazed tiles are hollow design, which can not only adjust the gap left and right, but also have waterproof functions, achieving the unity of beauty and practicality.
According to the relevant person in charge of the Sui and Tang Grand Canal Culture Museum, the Sancai glazed tiles are designed and produced by Gao Shuiwang, the representative inheritor of the Tang Sancai firing technique of Luoyang National Intangible Cultural Heritage, and his team, which are different from the traditional Sancai process in terms of carcass raw material formula, glaze formula, firing method, etc., which are difficult to produce and have high technical requirements, and are an innovative practice of traditional Sancai technology applied to the field of modern decoration.
Oversized glass curtain wall conceals "black technology"
On the west side of the museum building, a huge glass curtain wall attracted the attention of reporters. This glass curtain wall is more than ten meters high and more than twenty meters wide, composed of more than ten large pieces of glass, which looks like a huge mirror from a distance, which not only looks and feels grand, but also makes the Grand Canal Museum of China show a different appearance.
According to reports, the glass curtain wall is produced by The North Glass Co., Ltd. Luoyang Glass Company, the largest piece of glass is about 12 meters high, about 1.8 meters wide, and weighs up to 5.7 tons, creating a number of Luoyang's best, such as "the largest" and "heaviest".
In addition to the above characteristics, this glass curtain wall is also the first "ribless" installation application project in Luoyang, hiding a lot of "black technology". For example, each piece of glass is a sitting-on-the-ground, self-supporting structure, which is both an external wall panel and an external wall skeleton, which realizes the effect of observing the line of sight from indoor to outdoor without any obstruction.
The three-color ceiling will be declared a Guinness Book of World Records
The reporter saw inside the venue that the circular walkway and elevator leading to each floor of the museum have been built and installed, and the exhibition halls stand at the exhibition and decoration project. Among them, the large-scale three-colored ring art work "Cloud Sail" embedded in the top of the museum hall has begun to appear.
"This is by far the world's largest ceramic ceiling artwork, and when it is fully completed, it will be declared a Guinness Book of World Records." The relevant person in charge of the Sui and Tang Dynasty Grand Canal Culture Museum said that "Yunfan" was created by Guo Aihe, a master of Chinese ceramic art, with an area of about 10,000 square meters and composed of 126,000 sancai ceramic units. The work adopts the expression of freehand sancai, and the diamond shape composed of tricolor ceramics, like the sails blown by the wind, travels on the dome of the museum's arc, and each diamond is composed of 13 groups of 13 cm wide oval arc tricolor ceramic components, representing the thirteen dynasties that built the capital in Luoyang.
According to reports, under the condition of sufficient light, visitors can feel the light and shadow changes of the three-color ceramic ceiling when moving in the venue, simulating the flow of the Grand Canal, sparkling and beautiful.
