On the morning of the 29th, as the host read out the results of the competition, the top 13 and a total of 16 award-winning works in the first Tang Sancai Craftsman Skill Competition in Nanshishan, Mengjin District, Luoyang City, were spent in various places.
The reporter learned at the scene that the No. 132 work is a Northern Wei color pottery horse, with beautiful shape, natural and vivid, delicate workmanship, and a change in the clumsy and simple style of the three colored works in the Wei and Jin Southern and Northern Dynasties periods, which was unanimously recognized by the judges.
Zhang Yipeng's tang sancai work "Sancai Grotto"
Zhang Yipeng, born in 1987, is the "young master" of luoyang Zhangjiacai kiln, and he took out the cultural and creative Tang Sancai work "Sancai Grottoes" in this competition, which won the prize in one fell swoop. Since 2015, he has devoted himself to the creation of contemporary art in Tang Sancai's works, that is, using traditional Tang Sancai firing techniques and combining new materials to make works of art rich in current humanistic colors.
Nanshishan Village, Chaoyang Town, Mengjin District, Luoyang City, is a professional village of Tang Sancai production, with 460 households and 1600 people, 68 Sancai enterprises, more than 2,000 employees, and an annual output value of 350 million yuan. In 2021, it won the title of "One Village, One Product" Demonstration Village and "National Rural Characteristic Industry Billion Village".

Yan Yingxiao, president of China Nanshishan Tang Sancai Association, introduced that in this competition, 68 Sancai enterprises and more than 70 individuals in the village participated, with 134 entries, including traditional Tang Sancai, new craft Tang Sancai, faience pottery, flat Tang Sancai and cultural and creative Tang Sancai and other categories.
"The selection criteria mainly look at the artistic value of the works, and score them from the aspects of design concept, sculpture, production, glaze color and firing process." Yan Yingxiao said that by holding the first Tang Sancai Craftsman Skills Competition, the business card of Tang Sancai in Luoyang was polished. At the same time, the competition encourages the innovation of Tang Sancai's works, improves production skills, guides Tang Sancai's industry to become bigger and stronger, and helps promote rural revitalization.
