China FAW sold more than 311,000 vehicles in January

Recently, the reporter learned from China FAW that in January 2022, the group company produced a total of 290371 vehicles and sold 311508 vehicles.

Among them, the Hongqi brand produced 37,758 vehicles, an increase of 60.9% year-on-year; sold 42,158 vehicles, an increase of 29.6% year-on-year. Jiefang brand produces more than 26,000 vehicles and sells more than 28,000 vehicles. The Besturn brand produces 3,500 vehicles and sells 5,466 vehicles.

The joint venture and cooperative business segment produces 222537 vehicles and sells 234718 vehicles. Faw-Volkswagen produces 181573 vehicles and sells 182977 vehicles; FAW Toyota produces 40,964 vehicles and sells 51,741 vehicles.

It is worth mentioning that the sales volume of the Hongqi brand hit a record high in January. Among them, Hongqi H5 achieved sales of 13137 vehicles, Hongqi HS5 achieved sales of 24451 vehicles, and Hongqi H7, Hongqi HS7, Hongqi E-HS9 also had bright performances.

Looking back at the entire 2021, the annual sales of the Hongqi brand exceeded 300,000 vehicles, an increase of more than 50% year-on-year, the growth rate was 10 times higher than the industry average, and the sales of the collision brand reached a new milestone, creating an industrial miracle of 63 times sales growth in 4 years, and once again playing a strong sound of the rise of national automobile brands.
