Feng Yaosong nodded honestly, shook his head again, and then timidly said, "I have to go back and ask my parents for advice." ”
A few days later, after seeking his parents' consent, Feng Yaosong followed Wang Fang, director of the Zhejiang Provincial Public Security Department, to Beijing to attend the Second National Public Security Work Conference. As soon as I got off the train in Beijing, I saw Chairman Mao's chief guard, Li Yinqiao, and his secretary, Luo Guanglu, come to greet him. At that time, Feng Yaosong was still thinking that this director was the director of the department, and even the people around Chairman Mao knew him!

Feng Yaosong was illiterate, and only a few words were written in the letter of determination: "I myself will guard Chairman Mao well!" As soon as Li Yinqiao looked at it, he laughed out loud, and Feng Yaosong wrote "sacrifice" as "Xisheng".
Under the leadership of Li Yinqiao, Feng Yaosong finally met Chairman Mao at the Juxiang Bookstore in Zhongnanhai. Because he was so excited, his eyes were already full of tears.
Chairman Mao touched his head like an elder and kindly asked him his name, his father's occupation, and other issues, which made Feng Yaosong feel very kind.
Chairman Mao has always been very concerned about the guards, and after getting along for a long time, Chairman Mao found that the cultural level of Feng Yaosong was too low, not only Feng Yaosong, but also the cultural level of the whole country at that time was also very low.
In 1954, with the financial support of Chairman Mao, the Zhongnanhai Organ Socialist School was officially opened. Chairman Mao asked the chief guard to register Feng Yaosong. When Feng Yaosong came back from class, Chairman Mao would always take time out to check his homework, just like a parent educated a child. Chairman Mao's correction work is very strict.
One day, Feng Yaosong took the homework to Chairman Mao for approval, and several teachers on the homework gave him five points, and after Chairman Mao saw it, he praised him directly: "Xiao Feng, there has been progress recently!" Feng Yaosong was somewhat proud.
But looking at it, Chairman Mao's satisfied smile disappeared. Because when he turned to the page of "Selling Charcoal" written by Feng Yaosongmo, he found that Feng Yaosong would "be pitiful and have a single shirt, and be worried about the cold." At night, a foot of snow outside the city, Xiao drove a charcoal car to roll the ice rut. The "worry" and "rut" in the "rut" are written as "disturbing" and "withdrawing" respectively.
Although the difference is two words, the meaning is very different. After Chairman Mao finished speaking, he pointed out his mistake to Feng Yaosong and said half-jokingly:
"No wonder charcoal can't be sold cheaply, it seems that you are disturbed... Charcoal has not yet been sold on the big retreat, you are escapism! ”

At that time, the level of culture and education in China was generally low. In the early days of the founding of New China, Chairman Mao attached great importance to education, and he held many national education work conferences and issued instructions on the "literacy campaign." Chairman Mao and the guards got along more like father and son. The story between Feng Yaosong and Chairman Mao is always interesting and warm.
Chairman Mao's life was extremely disciplined, with two dishes and a soup, a bowl of rice, and sometimes a plate of chili peppers or moldy tofu in both dishes. The clothes are torn, if it is often worn, let the guards make up for it, and if they wear it on formal occasions, they will let the guards take it to Wangfujing to make up for it, and a dozen patches of clothing are not excessive.
Once, when North Korean leader Kim Il Sung visited China, Chairman Mao personally received him. Before meeting Kim Il Sung, Chairman Mao found that he had a hole in the heel of the sock he was wearing. If this were normal, Chairman Mao would still be able to wear it, but he would not be sloppy in the face of foreign affairs activities.
Chairman Mao had no choice but to ask Feng Yaosong to sew socks for him. Feng Yaosong hurriedly picked up the socks, ran to the duty room and "sealed" the holes in the socks three times and five times, and returned them to Chairman Mao.
After a while, Chairman Mao's voice came: "Xiao Feng, how did you get it?" How can you sew socks that can't be worn in! Feng Yaosong squatted down to take a look and found that he had sewn the front and back layers of the heel of his socks together, and Chairman Mao could not pull into his heels.
This is a big mistake! One day in February 1957, on the eve of the 11th Supreme Council of State, Chairman Mao was sitting on his bed writing "On the Question of correctly handling contradictions among the people.", which was the third time he stayed up all night, and the guards were in a hurry. At this time, Chairman Mao suddenly looked up, pressed his hand on his temple, and Feng Yaosong took a look, and the opportunity came!
After asking Chairman Mao's consent, Feng Yaosong rushed to bake Chairman Mao a few taro. Watching Chairman Mao satisfactorily peel the taro skin and send it to his mouth, and also chanted the poem with great interest, Feng Yaosong was happy in his heart. Subsequently, in order not to disturb Chairman Mao's rare ease, he gently withdrew from the study.
After a while, Chairman Mao's chanting in the study disappeared and turned into rhythmic snoring. Feng Yaosong lightly pushed open the door and entered the room, and Chairman Mao was already asleep on the shelf at the head of the bed with his neck crooked.
Feng Yaosong originally wanted to go closer and cover Chairman Mao with a coat, but when he heard Chairman Mao's snoring sound a little abnormal, as if he was blocked by something, he looked up and found that Chairman Mao still had half a piece of taro in his mouth, and Feng Yaosong's hand holding the clothes was there, and the tears couldn't help but flow down his cheeks.
Then, swallowing tears, he leaned over to pick the half piece of taro in Chairman Mao's mouth, afraid that Chairman Mao would be choked up and unable to breathe. The taro was plucked out, but Chairman Mao also woke up, and said confusedly in Hunan dialect, which is neither light nor heavy: "Which?" Feng Yaosong's nose was sour and he was trying to explain, but Chairman Mao turned to comfort him and said, "Oh, I shouldn't be angry, I seem to be dreaming..."
Feng Yaosong couldn't bear it any longer, and he cried and said:
"No, it's not! Chairman, look at you half a taro in your mouth! Please, you must rest! Please..."
Chairman Mao once asked Li Yinqiao, the head of the guards: "Do I kiss my son or with you?" Captain Guard: "The chairman has been with us for a long time and has a deep affection for us. Feng Yaosong also worried about this for a long time, and Chairman Mao comforted him: "Don't lose the battle and get discouraged, you must have some confidence!" ”
Later, Chairman Mao went to Lushan to attend the meeting, and of course did not forget to worry about Feng Yaosong's marriage. According to the introduction of Yang Shangkui, secretary of the Jiangxi Provincial Party Committee, there was a nurse who served in Lushan, who was quite good, named Zheng Yixiu.
Under the guidance of Chairman Mao, Feng Yaosong finally had an object. In order to prevent himself from being like the last time, Chairman Mao always took the time to ask about the love between the two, and Feng Yaosong answered one by one.
