"We currently have more than 3,000 employees on the job and have fully resumed work and production." Weng Yong, project manager of Guiyang Fudi Battery Co., Ltd., said that since the third day of the Chinese New Year, employees of production, equipment maintenance, management and other departments have been in place to prepare raw materials, adjust equipment, safety inspections, power guarantees, and all work has been carried out in an orderly manner.
It is understood that in January 2019, BYD and Guiyang National High-tech Zone signed the "Intelligent Manufacturing Industrial Park Investment Cooperation Agreement", established Guiyang Fudi Battery Co., Ltd., and planned to build BYD Intelligent Manufacturing Industrial Park. In May 2021, Guiyang Fudi Battery Co., Ltd. was completed and put into production, mainly providing power batteries for BYD's new energy vehicles. At present, the company has built a total of 6 15GWh production lines, and the output value in 2021 will reach 1.68 billion yuan.
"The degree of intelligence of our factory is relatively high, and the processes such as batching, coating, roll pressing, lamination, and assembly have realized automated equipment, information control, and intelligent decision-making." Weng Yong said that the blade battery produced by the company has the characteristics of high safety, high power, strong endurance and long life, and the battery manufacturing cost has dropped by 30% and the space utilization rate has increased by 50%.
The company's output value target for the first quarter of this year is to strive to complete 1 billion yuan, and the output value target for 2022 is to complete at least 5 billion yuan. It's a big challenge, but we're confident. Weng Yong said that the current rapid development of the domestic new energy automobile industry has brought about a huge demand for power batteries in the market, and many car companies are "squatting" in factories producing power batteries such as Ningde Times and BYD waiting for supply.
In order to ensure the production schedule and ensure the supply of products, Guiyang Fudi Battery Co., Ltd. has implemented full-scale production of "7×24 hours per week" all-weather full load production. Workers in the front line of production implement the shift system to stick to their posts, engineers are also on standby, if there is a problem with which equipment in the workshop, they will rush to the scene for maintenance and treatment at the first time.
The personnel are rotating, and the equipment is non-stop. If we stop work for a day, we will lose tens of millions of dollars. Weng Yong said that doing a good job in the production work in the first quarter is related to the development of the whole year, which is very important for consolidating the foundation and stabilizing expectations, and the company's current order volume is sufficient, and it will make every effort to sprint the production and operation targets of the Year of the Tiger under the premise of ensuring safe production.
