Against the backdrop of France's presidency of the European Union, the One Ocean summit, with the support of the United Nations, opened on 9 February in Brest, Brest, Bretagne, France. The goal is to advance concrete action to address the threats facing the oceans: the impacts of climate change, pollution, especially plastic pollution, and the overexploitation of marine resources. The summit also aims to breathe life into an international agenda dedicated to key issues in the oceans.
At the same time, the French Embassy in China held a viewing event for environmental protection and marine films. French Ambassador to China Luo Liang said in his speech that this has opened the curtain on a series of activities. These events in Beijing and other major Chinese cities will highlight European culture, knowledge, speculation and the ideas that Europeans defend.

The beauty of Antarctica is better presented through the different perspectives of photographers Vincent Meunier and Laurent Vallesta on land and underwater.
