On the afternoon of February 11, the first ice dance drama "WE ARE ONE", the first of China's ice dramas, premiered here, successfully helping the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics. As an ice performance activity during the competition, with the theme of the inheritance and hope of the Olympic spirit, the play is starred by figure skating world champions Pang Qing and Tong Jian, and many figure skating team members participate in the performance, so that we can walk into the theater outside the arena, feel the charm of ice performance at close range, and see the future stars of figure skating. The first round of the play was performed in five performances, in the afternoon and evening of the 11th, 12th and afternoon on the 13th.
The performance of "WE ARE ONE" ice dance drama lasted for 95 minutes, and the whole performance was based on the main line of "pre-competition selection", focusing on the theme of "inheritance and hope", showing the fighting spirit of a generation of ice skaters leading young people who love figure skating to constantly challenge themselves, strive to be the first, and not give up lightly, as well as the youthful vitality of a new generation of figure skaters. The play is a visual event of figure skating, where the audience can enjoy the performances and skills of top figure skaters up close.
"WE ARE ONE" is the first of its kind on ice in China. The Chinese ice-making team broke through many technical difficulties, making ice at great speed in the theater for the first time, and built a smooth ice rink of more than 300 square meters in only 48 hours, and the Beijing Tianqiao Art Center Coliseum was instantly transformed into a gorgeous and brilliant ice stage. The performance uses sound and light sensory effects to reflect the rhythm of figure skating, which is the passionate collision of figure skating and audiovisual effects. The performance uses figure skating to highly combine culture and art with sports competition, showing the new vitality of figure skating culture.
Tong Jian, the main creator, said when talking about the mental process of repertoire creation: "Now during the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics, the eyes of the world are locked on Beijing, on the field we cheer for the athletes, outside the arena, we use the form of original ice repertoire to help the Winter Olympics, through the efforts of our Chinese ice and snow people to tell the Chinese story, attract more people to pay attention to figure skating, hope to use our 100% dedicated performance, express our feelings about the Winter Olympics, China's ice and snow." Pang Qing and Tong Jian, two figure skaters, did not leave their love of figure skating after retiring, but continued their dream to a broader stage and continued to spread and promote the sport of figure skating.
