Yulin is not only an ancient city where Han and Mongolian cultures have blended for thousands of years and the charm of the Southern Jingwei River still exists, but also a new area with unique resources and unlimited investment and development potential. As early as the Neolithic Age, there were human beings here, and Yulin City was built during the Ming Dynasty and became one of the nine important towns. In 1986, it was named "China's Famous Historical and Cultural City" by the State Council, and in June 2000, it was withdrawn from the city and set up a district, with many scenic spots and historical sites in the area, known as "the ancient city of Taichung in the north of the South Tower, the world's famous arcade on the sixth floor". The territory of Yuyang is bounded by the Great Wall of Ming, the north is the aeolian grass beach area, and the south is the hilly and gully area, which is rich in mineral resources, is the core area of the national energy and chemical base, and the regional comprehensive strength of the national "top 100 areas".
Yuyang adheres to cultural self-confidence, keeps the integrity and innovation, vigorously promotes the integration of culture and tourism "Yuyang model", and has created a number of cultural landmarks and industrial parks with national influence, such as the Northern Shaanxi Folk Song Museum, the Ephedra Liang Huangtian Land Quality Park, and the Confucius Temple Cultural Tourism Block; built high-quality cultural tourism projects such as the General Deng Baoshan Memorial Hall, the Tonglanghe Women's Militia Zhishalian Research Base, and the Intangible Cultural Heritage Exhibition Hall; formed the demonstration points for the integration of rural revitalization and cultural tourism such as Zhao Jia'e, Baishe Niutan, and Huangya Kiln; and launched the Apricot Blossom Festival and the Kite Music Festival 100 colorful "Great Beauty Yuyang" series of activities such as the Horse Racing Festival. Based on regional characteristics, we will focus on creating five characteristic tourism routes: historical and cultural city tour, beautiful pastoral leisure tour, Great Wall border plug style tour, desert ecological scenery tour, and loess agricultural and pastoral style tour. A total of 3 4A-class tourist scenic spots, 11 3A-level tourist scenic spots, 1 Beautiful Leisure Village in China, 1 Beautiful Pastoral Landscape in China, 1 National Beautiful And Suitable Demonstration Village, 2 Provincial Tourism Characteristic Towns, 6 Provincial Tourism Demonstration Villages, and 1 Provincial Geopark have been built in the whole region. It has been awarded as the national cultural tourism cooperation demonstration county, the national first, second and third industry integration pilot county, the hometown of Chinese folk songs, the best global tourism destination in beautiful China, and the most beautiful village tourism destination.
The annual number of tourists received by the whole region exceeded 10 million person-times, and the annual comprehensive tourism revenue exceeded 4 billion yuan.
