Three museums in Henan have been identified as national science popularization education bases

On February 10, the reporter learned from the Henan Provincial Bureau of Cultural Relics that the China Association for Science and Technology recently announced the "First Batch of National Science Popularization Education Bases 2021-2025 Identification List", which includes 165 museums and memorials, and 3 museums in Henan are on the list.

A few days ago, the official website of the China Association for Science and Technology announced the "2021-2025 National Science Popularization Education Base First Batch Identification List", in accordance with the requirements of the "Notice of the General Office of the China Association for Science and Technology on the Creation of the National Science Popularization Education Base in 2021-2025", after review, 800 units are planned to be identified as national science popularization education bases, including 165 museums and memorials. Henan was selected as the Oriental Red Farming Museum, the Henan Natural History Museum, and the Chinese Character Museum.

The first generation of domestic crawler tractors, the first generation of domestic water and drought wheeled tractors, China's first generation of small wheeled tractors, China's first generation of high-power wheeled tractors...... One by one, agricultural machinery has witnessed the development process of China's agricultural mechanization and witnessed the vicissitudes of China's modern farming. The Oriental Red Farming Museum integrates a variety of functions such as collection, exhibition, publicity, education and research. The exhibition hall displays the largest dinosaur in Asia, the world's smallest oviraptorosaur, China's only knotted dragon, the world's largest litter of dinosaur egg fossils, dozens of precious early mammals and feathered dinosaurs, as well as the world's earliest fossil ginkgo fruit, the world's earliest angiosperm - Chinese ancient fruit and other large number of animal and plant fossil specimens, collection and display of almost all kinds of ore, rock specimens in Henan, as well as exquisite mineral crystals and ornamental stone specimens from China and some countries. Among them, there are a number of national treasures and hundreds of rare physical specimens.

Located in Anyang City, Henan Province, the hometown of Oracle, the Museum of Chinese Characters is a national first-class museum that integrates cultural relics protection, display and scientific research approved by the State Council, and is a science popularization center of Chinese character culture, a national science popularization education base, and a patriotic education base. The basic exhibition of the Chinese Character Museum takes the world characters as the background, the Chinese characters as the main trunk, and the ethnic minority characters as an important part, bringing together the essence of the samples of Chinese characters in the past dynasties, and explaining the structural characteristics and evolution of Chinese characters.
