Nearly 60,000 yuan was auctioned for three round banknotes

On the evening of February 9, 2022, a second edition of the RMB Jinggangshan Longyuankou Sanyuan (IV.I.X.8475578, PMG 64) banknote rating was auctioned online for 59,400 yuan.

One of the very rare renminbi in the second set of renminbi is a dark green three-yuan yuan with a Jinggangshan Longyuankou pattern in the middle of the dark green front issued on March 1, 1955, which is the only renminbi banknote issued by the mainland so far with a denomination of three yuan.

This three-yuan renminbi banknote was printed by the Soviet Union since 1953, with flower symbols, national emblems, and line names and denominations of the four scripts of Chinese, Mongolian, Uighur and Tibetan on the back, and the main color is dark green.

Although the second set of renminbi has been greatly improved in the printing process, it is limited to the printing conditions and capacity of the mainland at that time, and the three large-denomination bills of sanyuan, Wuyuan and Shiyuan are not entrusted to the Soviet Union to print on behalf of the Soviet Union.

On August 17, 1953, the Soviet Union signed a contract with the Soviet Union on behalf of the Printing Three Yuan and Wu Yuan coupons, totaling 1.5 billion pieces and 5.5 billion yuan. For the first time, the three-round denomination banknote adopts advanced offset attapulgite overprinting technology, and the banknote paper has a solid five-pointed star pattern mixed watermark, using double concave printing on the front and back, with a deep print, thick ink layer, and good anti-counterfeiting function. It was officially released on March 1, 1955.

Due to the deterioration of Sino-Soviet relations, in order to prevent the accidental damage to the credibility of the renminbi, the Chinese Bank issued the "Notice on the Recovery of Three Kinds of Renminbi Bills within a Time Limit", stipulating that from April 15, 1964, the three denominations of three denominations printed by the Soviet Union, namely The Three Yuan, the Wu Yuan, and the Shi Yuan, would stop circulating in the market.

Rmb generally adopts two methods of recovery: one is only received and not paid, and the other is a time-limited recovery method. The former method is more commonly used, and the latter method is generally used in special cases.

Generally speaking, the number of tickets that are recovered within a limited period of time is much less than that of tickets that are recovered only by the method of receiving no payment. The second set of rmb three yuan, Wu yuan and shiyuan coupons were recovered early for political reasons, so these three bills are more precious, especially the banknotes with a denomination of three yuan.
