On February 5, the second day of the opening of the Beijing Winter Olympics, the Art Museum of China and the China Intangible Cultural Heritage Museum, which took three years to build, were officially opened to the public. The new museum with an area of 91,126 square meters fills the gap of the national museum of arts and crafts and intangible cultural heritage of the mainland. The museum is located in the central area of the Olympic Park, the west side is close to the Olympic Forest Park, the east side is the Chinese Communist Party History Exhibition Hall, and the south side is the Chinese Historical Research Institute, the "Bird's Nest" Gymnasium and other buildings, the Olympic, ecological, scientific and technological, historical and other themes in this new cultural cluster.

Standing outside the Museum of Arts and Crafts of China (China Intangible Cultural Heritage Museum), the reporter saw that the surface of the venue was made of warm copper curtain wall material, decorated with hollow patterns like classical flower windows, resembling a multi-treasure square box, which collected national art treasures. As an important project of the series of cultural activities of the Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games, the "Treasures of China" exhibition is the first blockbuster exhibition of the new museum, which is divided into eight sections, covering eight parts: arts and crafts, guqin, traditional musical instruments, traditional art, opera, gold stone seal carving and rubbing, traditional New Year painting, opera performance and academic report.

In the hall on the first floor, the winter Olympics-themed landscape installation "From Altay to Beijing" attracted the attention of many viewers. In 2005, a well-preserved painted petroglyph found in the Altay region of Xinjiang recorded the ancient ancestors pedaling skis and chasing prey with a single pole, and in 2015, the Altay Declaration jointly issued by more than 30 experts from 18 countries recognized Altay as the world's oldest origin of skiing. From the ice hunting of ancient ancestors to the ice competition of modern people, the flying lines outline the beauty of human eternal power and cheer for the ongoing Winter Olympics.
