The new generation of Nissan Qashqai was released overseas in February 2021, positioning a compact SUV using Nissan's latest "V-Motion" family design language. More than a year after the overseas release, the new Qashqai will also be officially introduced into China this year. And the main thing is that the models introduced into China will not use the three-cylinder engine on the new X-Trail, but use a 1.3-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine.
This 1.3T engine, jointly developed by the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi Alliance and the Daimler Group, is the one used on the Mercedes-Benz GLB, and will be combined with a 12V motor, composed of a micromix system. Two different tunings are expected, with a maximum power of 103 kW (140 hp) and 115 kW (157 hp), respectively, to match the CVT gearbox.
In addition to the power system has a lot of upgrades, the new generation of Qashqai in other aspects also have a great improvement, the new Qashqai based on the CMF-C/ D platform to create, using Nissan's latest "V-Motion" family design language, the shape is more youthful, sporty. And the body size will also be increased compared to the current model, the length, width and height are 4430 * 1869 * 1618mm, the wheelbase has been extended by 20mm to 2666mm.
In terms of interior, nissan's latest interior design style will be used as a whole. The car will use a 12.3-inch full LCD instrument cluster and a 9-inch floating central control screen to increase its sense of technology, and will also match the latest upgraded Nissan ProPilot system, as well as Nissan Connect super intelligent connection and other functions.
The new generation of Qashqai has been confirmed to be listed in China this year, but the specific listing time has not yet been determined. In addition to the 1.3T engine we mentioned at the beginning that it will use the same Mercedes-Benz GLB, the new generation of Qashqai is also likely to introduce models equipped with e-POWER hybrid system in the future.
