After the beginning of the new year, many car companies have also taken new actions for electrification transformation, and they are destined to have a time node for full electrification. Previously, Lexus also planned to achieve full electrification in 2030, and at the same time, it will also be converted to a pure electric brand in the future.
Just recently, Lexus released a set of new pure electric SUV concept car official map, the current new car is temporarily named Electrified SUV, the new car is expected to be positioned higher than the RZ450e, the future or for the medium and large pure electric SUV.

In terms of exterior design, the new car adopts the latest design concept of the Lexus family, the style of the front face still maintains the spindle-shaped silhouette, and the embellishment of the internal closed grille looks more futuristic at first glance.
On the side of the body, a more traditional boxy shape is adopted, but the huge body also shows that it is not simple, and the future length of the car may exceed 5 meters, and it is also expected to provide a 6/7 seat three-row seat layout.
The tail design uses the popular through-type taillight group, and the letter "LEXUS" is added to the top for embellishment, which will also be the latest family design element of Lexus in the future.
Although the layout of the interior is currently announced, with reference to the layout of the brother Toyota bZ4X, the future may use a floating large screen, and most of the physical buttons will be retained inside. As for the steering wheel style or design similar to the steering wheel of a racing car, the overall sense of futuristic design is raised.

In addition, the new car will also be built using the e-TNGA pure electric platform in the future, and it is expected to be equipped with a single motor of 150kW and a battery capacity of 71.4kWh, and the specific mileage is not much information for the time being.
At present, Lexus is also very positive in responding to the trend of electrification transformation, with the previous goal of achieving 100% pure electric vehicle sales in China, North America and Europe by 2030, while global sales will also be set at 1 million units, and by 2035, the global sales model will achieve 100% pure electric vehicle sales.
But in fact, to achieve this goal is still a bit difficult, although in 2021 the cumulative sales of global electric vehicles reached nearly 6.5 million, an increase of 108% over the previous year, but in the current Chinese market alone, most of the users who buy pure electric vehicles are more on the basis of existing fuel vehicles, and in the face of China's complex road conditions, long-distance travel to choose pure electric vehicles may also be anchored on the road at any time, after all, just past the Spring Festival holiday, the news of the service area grabbing charging piles is not uncommon.
In addition, the number of charging piles in the mainland can not keep up with the pace of the development of electric vehicles, taking Guangdong as an example, the cumulative number of public charging piles in 2021 is only 181846, evenly spread to various urban areas, the charging piles in each place are also few, plus charging also needs to consume most of the waiting time, and the queuing phenomenon is inevitable.
Therefore, in order to fully realize pure electrification, it is necessary to keep up with the pace of back-end charging services, and the number of increased quantities can meet the daily environment of user charging, which is also a fundamental problem that needs to be solved in the future.
