China, February 10, 2022 – Realme, the youngest of the world's six largest smartphone brands, maintained its strong growth momentum, achieved breakthrough results in the global market, and continued to practice its brand value proposition of "daring to leapfrog".

According to the latest data from Canalys, in the fourth quarter of 2021, realme's market share ranked in the top five in 30 markets and 6 regions around the world, with the Philippines and Bangladesh ranking first, and markets and regions including Germany, Peru, Colombia and Western Europe entering the top five for the first time.

With its over-the-top performance and trendy design, realme smartphones are popular in major markets around the world. Canalys' data shows realme's market share in India rose to 17 percent, up 48 percent year-over-year. Notably, realme is the only one among the top five brands to achieve positive growth in the Indian smartphone market.

In Europe, realme reached a new milestone with an annual growth rate of nearly 450%, becoming the fourth largest smartphone brand in the region. In Western Europe, realme grew at a whopping 1365% and became one of the top five smartphone vendors for the first time. The growth momentum was mainly driven by continued breakthroughs in Spain and Italy, as well as strong performances in the Netherlands and Germany, where the brand entered the top four and top five for the first time, respectively. In Central and Eastern Europe, realme ranks fourth with an 11% market share. Greece, Poland, the Czech Republic, Ukraine and Belarus have all seen strong growth, and realme has moved up to third place in these countries.

The brand's unique and competitive offerings also continue to gain a foothold in fast-growing emerging markets. Realme maintains its position as one of the top five smartphone brands in Southeast Asia, while also making new breakthroughs in Latin America, the Middle East and Africa. Realme jumped to the top four in Thailand, Myanmar, the United Arab Emirates, Egypt and Morocco, and made it to the top five for the first time in Peru and Colombia.
