For the first time, Miyazaki became Japan's favorite city to buy dumplings.
On February 8, Japan's Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications released a survey of household consumption in provincial capital cities across the country, in which the average annual dumpling consumption data of each household showed that the average household consumption in Miyazaki City was 4184 yen, and the two major dumpling kingdoms of Hamamatsu City and Utsunomiya City became the most popular cities in Japan to buy dumplings for the first time.
Hamamatsu City ranked second with 3,728 yen, and Utsunomiya City ranked third with 3,129 yen.
However, this data only includes raw dumplings and dumplings packed home, and does not include the consumption of restaurant meals, frozen dumplings, etc.

The Kato Shrine in Kumamoto City held a festival in Tachiharu to pray for a new year without disease and no disaster, and a huge wooden tiger head gate was set up inside the shrine, and visitors who came to worship came out of the tiger's mouth to pray for disaster relief.
