Yang Senquan is the captain of the Dongtou Yixiang emergency rescue team, but in fact, he is not a full-time rescue team. Changing out of the "Rescue Blue" team uniform and putting on a suit, he is the person in charge of the Dongtou Yixiang International Hotel, and he is the guardian of this "Sea Garden".
"I am a native of Dongtou, my parents make a living by breeding seaweed, and every typhoon day, the seaweed is blown by the wind and is easy to be entangled into a bundle." Speaking about why he set up a rescue team, Yang Senquan recalled, "At this time, the villagers would spontaneously come to help, and I thought that when others needed it, I would also step up." ”
After work, Yang Senquan noticed that in the hole of "eating the sea by the sea", accidents would occur due to improper marine operations or other accidents, and the seeds in his heart would sprout and grow. In 2017, he reorganized the hotel's youth volunteer team, expanded the scope of public welfare undertakings, raised more than 7 million yuan by himself, purchased professional rescue equipment such as assault boats, field cooking vehicles, fire trucks, GPS positioning systems and real-time tracking map central control systems, and established a rescue team. The team members are composed of search and rescue, communications, medical and other social workers, mainly enterprise employees and caring volunteers, and are public welfare non-profit organizations.
In 2018, the Dongtou District Branch of the Wenzhou Municipal Public Security Bureau set up the Dongtou District Yixiang Police Enterprise Co-construction Center in the office of the Yixiang Rescue Team, and the rescue team was officially included in the official emergency rescue system.
"The rescue team is busier, taking on more than 30 police intelligence tasks. Whether it is the rescue of villagers who fell into the water by Typhoon "Capricorn" in 2018, the post-disaster reconstruction of Linhai in 2019, the rescue of Yuanjue Acacia Ao at sea in 2020, or the fishermen lost at sea during the Spring Festival, the newcomers and tourists trapped on the reef, the security of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, etc., the rescue team can give a positive supplementary role.
