#Zhengzhou Headlines # Today is the anniversary of the Beijing-Hankou railway workers' strike.
In February 1923, under the leadership of the Communist Party of China, the Beijing-Hankou railway workers held a general strike, which was the first huge organized political struggle carried out by the Chinese working class under the leadership of the Communist Party of China, and 52 revolutionary volunteers were unfortunately killed in this anti-imperialist and anti-feudal revolutionary storm. It was a solemn and tragic struggle, with blood and life carved a glorious chapter on the monument of history.
In order to commemorate the Beijing-Hankou railway workers' strike, Zhengzhou City built the Erqi Strike Memorial Tower in July 1971.
