Infineon reports first quarter 2022: Revenue of €3,159 million

IT House reported on February 7 that Infineon has now announced its financial report for the first quarter of fiscal 2022, with revenue of 3.159 billion euros, an increase of 5% sequentially and an increase of 20% year-on-year; profit of 717 million euros; profit margin of 22.7%; and free cash flow of 378 million euros.

Reinhard Ploss, CEO of Infineon Technologies AG, said that there is still strong demand for our products and solutions. Our capacity utilization rate is high, and we are further expanding our capacity, which will help us improve the year-round availability of our homegrown products. At this stage, semiconductors are generally in short supply. Thanks to electrification and digitalization, our target markets will continue to grow significantly. We expect that supply will remain tight in certain application areas this calendar year.
