Infineon's new co2 sensor for connection to a mobile phone/laptop

IT House February 13 news, according to Infineon official news, Infineon Technology XENSIV PAS carbon dioxide sensor has now begun mass production, by the Munich technology company eesy-innovation and Infineon production of portable carbon dioxide sensor "co2go" will become one of the first commercial products of XENSIV PAS CO2 sensor in the market.

IT House understands that co2go will be available through a physical store channel at the end of January. The device can be connected to a smartphone or laptop and provides detailed and reliable information about the air quality in different locations in the room.

According to Infineon, the XENSIV PAS CO2 sensor is based on innovative PAS (photoacoustic spectroscopy) technology, enabling extremely efficient air quality monitoring with a very small footprint. The sensor is less than a quarter the size of a traditional CO2 NDIR sensor and is one of the few sensors of its size to meet the California Title 24 standard. The microcontroller integrated in the XENSIV PAS CO2 sensor converts the detected CO2 concentration value directly into a ppm value, which is available through the three interfaces of serial I-C, UART, and PWM. The sensor measures CO2 concentration from 0 ppm to 32,000 ppm with an accuracy of ±30 ppm± 3% reading (0-8000 ppm).
