Li Baihai, a retired soldier from Hangzhou whose Beijing Winter Olympics are being held, completed a series of Winter Olympic works through production procedures such as painting, cutting, knocking, welding, spelling, lacquering, and assembly.

Since childhood, Li Baihai's hands-on ability is very strong, and he likes to knock, write, draw, and tinker with all kinds of new things.
In 1969, Li Baihai enlisted in the army and won three third-class merits.
In the early 1980s, Li Baihai came across a TV series "Legend of Iron Painting" and became interested in this folk art that "turns decay into magic". He was working as a military instructor at the Nanjing Army Academy at the time, and learned the basic craft of making iron paintings from Guan Chao, a disciple of Zhu Guanghui, a comrade-in-arms and a disciple of Zhu Guanghui, a national-level inheritor of iron paintings.
Li Baihai used his spare time to delve into the production process of iron painting, tried to use iron sheets, wire and other materials, learned from iron painting creation techniques, explored a set of unique production methods, and innovated and invented the "iron painting" painting.
For more than 40 years, Li Baihai retired and transferred to retirement, and has always insisted on the creation of iron painting, and has been praised by the industry as "the first person in folk iron painting".
Today, Li Baihai's iron paintings have been listed as the district intangible cultural heritage protection project, and he has personally been awarded the district intangible cultural heritage inheritor, and successfully created the "celebrity studio" in the literary and art circles.
