In 2006, the Lantern Festival was approved by the State Council to be included in the first batch of national intangible cultural heritage list.

Nowadays, Sinan flower lanterns have long been popular in Sinan, and modern flower lanterns are also active in Sinan County, becoming an entertainment project for Sinan people after tea and dinner. So far, Sinan County has hundreds of lantern teams. In 2010, the Anwar Community Folk Lantern Team, whose members ranged in age from 50 to 75 years old, did not lose to young people when they danced the lanterns.
