Safran has partnered with partners such as Engie New Ventures to invest in German start-up Ineratec

Civil Aviation Resource Network, February 3, 2022: Recently, Safran Group announced that it has cooperated with Engie New Ventures, an engie venture capital subsidiary of engie venture capital companies that is committed to accelerating the energy transition, through its investment agency for high-tech startups, Safran Ventures, and other partners - HTGF, MPC Capital, Extantia, Planet A and FO Holding have invested in a German startup, Ineratec, which specializes in developing and producing carbon-neutral synthetic fuel technologies that can replace fossil fuels.

Ineratec offers modular plant solutions that convert "green" hydrogen made from renewable electricity and biomass carbon dioxide or captured carbon dioxide into carbon-neutral fuels such as green synthetic methane ( e-methane ) , green synthetic diesel ( e-diesel ) and green synthetic kerosene . Headquartered in Karlsruhe, Germany, the company has deployed 13 green synthetic fuel (e-fuel) demonstration plants for a range of applications and opened its first sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) plant in Lower Saxony. Ineratec currently plans to invest in a pilot plant in Frankfurt that can produce 3,500 metric tons of fuel per year, including sustainable aviation fuel supplied directly to the city's airport.
