Panasonic began trial production of 4680 batteries this year, which will give priority to tesla needs

Panasonic Chief Financial Officer Hirokazu Umeda said Wednesday that the company is renovating some of its facilities and expects to begin trial production of 4680 eviction batteries at an undisclosed location in Japan at the beginning of the fiscal year that begins in April. The company then plans to conduct further trial production in Wakayama Prefecture, near Panasonic Osaka headquarters, although the time and location for official mass production have not yet been determined.
