It is reported that China's Hainan International Cultural Relics and Artworks Trading Center is an important project supported by many ministries and commissions of the state to support the construction of Hainan Free Trade Port, and is different from the existing art trading centers in China. China Hainan International Cultural Relics and Artworks Trading Center is located in Sanya Central Business District, built and operated by the central enterprise Poly Group, which will introduce international rules such as exhibition, trading and auction in the art industry, and provide an international platform for excellent artworks and tradable cultural relics.
According to relevant sources of Poly Group, China's Hainan International Cultural Relics and Artworks Trading Center is expected to be completed in 2024, which covers a one-stop service platform for art exhibition display, auction transactions, warehousing logistics and comprehensive supporting facilities.
The relevant personnel of the Hainan Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Government said that with a high-quality business environment and supporting services, more elements and resources will be attracted, so that Sanya can become a gathering place for international cultural relics and artworks, promote the rapid development of the exhibition and auction industry of cultural relics and artworks in Hainan, and become a well-known cultural business card of Hainan Free Trade Port at an early date.
At the beginning of April 2021, the National Development and Reform Commission and the Ministry of Commerce issued opinions pointing out that taking advantage of the geographical location and preferential policies of The Hainan Free Trade Port, well-known auction institutions at home and abroad are encouraged to conduct business in trading centers, promote the reduction of transaction costs, form a comparative advantage in international transaction costs, and provide all-round support for all aspects of cultural relics and artworks trading.
In addition, Beijing Poly Auction Welcoming the New Year (Sanya) Boutique Auction was previewed in Haitang Bay, Sanya from January 28 to February 3, and the hammer was officially raised on February 3.
