In an interview, Dmitry Medvedev, vice chairman of the Russian Federation Security Council, expressed concern about the threat posed by the activities of biological laboratories in the United States. He said Russia does not understand what the biological laboratories that the United States participated in creating in neighboring countries are doing, so it is not excluded that they may be the source of the virus, and that the virus may "run out" because of the mistake of a madman.

Medvedev said, for example, Russia's neighbors have built biological laboratories with the participation of the United States and some other countries. Medvedev said that the Russian side's understanding of this is that it is not excluded that the virus was created.

Medvedev said he saw with his own eyes how these virus structures were created on computers, and the lab could draw a special structure that would create a new virus.
