Sydney's "Boys' House" was the sixth sexual assault and arrest after 40 years

A former employee of a notorious boys' home in Sydney has been charged with eight counts of charges dating back more than 40 years.

On Tuesday, police investigating child sexual assault at Daruk Training School near Windsor arrested a 64-year-old man in Baulkham Hills, Sydney's Great West.

The man, who has received a court appearance notice, is accused of 6 molestations against a man and is also accused of 2 sexual assaults without the victim's knowledge.

Police statements said the crimes allegedly occurred between 1978 and 1981.

The man was ordered to appear in Penrith Magistrates' Court on July 9.

The 64-year-old was the sixth man to be prosecuted.

The Royal Australian Commission has previously received a series of lawsuits from agencies relating to child sexual abuse.

The arrest was carried out by the Strikeforce Eckersley, which was formed in late 2016.
