The "Splendid Western Regions - Xinjiang Silk Road Cultural Relics Exhibition" organized by the Anhui Museum and the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Museum selected more than 180 pieces (sets) of exquisite cultural relics excavated from various regions in Xinjiang from the pre-Qin to the Song and Yuan dynasties, including pottery, metalware, textiles, woodware, paper, Buddha statues, glassware, etc., especially the official documents of the Han and Tang Dynasties and the Simple Documents in various languages, which clearly explained to the world: the cultures of various ethnic groups in Xinjiang rooted in the fertile soil of Chinese civilization. In order to implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important instructions on the protection of cultural relics and further combat and prevent cultural relics crimes, since 2017, the Ministry of Public Security and the State Administration of Cultural Relics have carried out special actions to combat cultural relics crimes for five consecutive years. In accordance with the unified arrangements made by the higher authorities, the public security organs and cultural relics departments of Anhui Province have struck hard and defended themselves at the same time, launching round after round of fierce offensives against cultural relics crimes. In the past five years, the province's cultural relics safety and law enforcement inspectors have steadily advanced, joint law enforcement has formed a joint force, the long-term mechanism has been continuously improved, the role of science and technology in helping the police has become increasingly prominent, the awareness of cultural relics protection has been deeply rooted in the hearts of the people, and the special action to combat cultural relics crimes has achieved remarkable results in stages.

The exhibition is jointly organized by the Anhui Museum and the Jiangxi Provincial Museum, and selects 120 sets of cultural relics excavated from the Shang Dynasty Tombs in Xingan Oceania in the Jiangxi Provincial Museum.

In 1989, more than 1,300 cultural relics were excavated from the Shang Dynasty Tombs in Xingan Oceania, Jiangxi, mainly bronze, jade and pottery. The 475 pieces of bronze are exquisitely cast and distinctive, which can be called a typical representative of bronze ware in southern China. Some of the large artifacts excavated from the newly excavated bronzes were first divided into parts and then cast together, showing a high level of casting technology. There are also 754 pieces of jade and 139 pieces of pottery unearthed in Shinkan Oceania. There are ceremonial vessels, ceremonial guards and ornaments in jade, and 20% glazed pottery and original porcelain in pottery.

The Shang Dynasty tombs in Xingan Oceania are the most striking bronzes, which is currently the largest number of Shang Dynasty bronzes excavated in the same relic unit, and is another major discovery after the Yin Ruins in Anyang, Henan, and the Sanxingdui in Guanghan, Sichuan. The discovery of the Shang Dynasty Tomb in Oceania Township, Xingan County, has not only changed people's understanding of the ancient civilization in the Ganjiang River Basin, but also raised various thought-provoking new questions for the southern and entire Shang Dynasty civilizations.

The history of Porcelain making in Dehua can be traced back to the five dynasties at the end of the Tang Dynasty, and the Song and Yuan Dynasties began to flourish. During the Ming and Qing dynasties, Dehua porcelain craftsmanship reached a new historical peak, and was famous for its jade and ice-clear tire glaze texture and unique plastic arts. The exhibition is divided into four units to comprehensively show the texture of tire glaze and the unique plastic art of Dehua porcelain jade and ice in the Ming and Qing dynasties. The discovery of large altars, sacrificial pits, stone circles, tomb groups and a large number of jade, stone tools and pottery reveals that Lingjiatan in ancient times was a prosperous and lively city, and aquaculture, animal husbandry and handicraft industry began to take shape, including landmark buildings such as large palaces and temples, as well as neatly laid out houses and cemeteries, as well as moats, handicraft workshops, markets and a large number of ceremonial utensils.
