In order to provide cycling enthusiasts with a powerful, flexible and interesting cruising motorcycle, bmw motorcycles Italy R&D team and LowRide magazine have teamed up to customize the BMW R 18 M model. The new car not only continues the retro shape of the BMW R 18, but also has a smoother and more dynamic body line, with a very modern sports style BMW M livery, vividly showing the BMW motorcycle has inherited the essence of sports for nearly a century. The vehicle is jointly designed by a number of top designers, supplemented by craftsmanship, breaking the boundaries between artwork and transportation. Not only is the styling more stunning, but the retuned frame and suspension also provide more agile handling, and the 1802cc "Big Boxer" engine with surging kinetic energy brings a very different driving experience from the BMW R 18.
The BMW R 18 Aurora was created by motorcycle modification factory Garage 221 in collaboration with BMW Motorcycles Italy's R&D team, staying true to tradition and incorporating innovation. It is unique in that many of the accessories are inspired by BMW models from different periods: the bat-shaped fairing draws on the support structure of the 1982 BMW R 100 and the 1991 BMW K75 models, the seats refer to the 2005 BMW 1200 C model, the body color is readjusted from the 1983 BMW RT 100 model, and the oil-cooled heat dissipation grille under the engine adopts the double kidney grille of the 1960s BMW car.
