Nanjing Qinhuai lanterns are one of the most representative folk arts. In the minds of many people, the beautiful scenery of "everyone walking on the bridge and everyone watching the lights" is an indispensable program for the Spring Festival.
Non-hereditary heir Cao Zhenrong has been engaged in the creation of lanterns for more than 60 years. In order to do a good job in the Year of the Tiger, he has been busy since the beginning of last year. Steel skeleton, silk surface, a tiger lamp shape is Cao Zhenrong's reference to various New Year paintings, photos, carefully pondered and designed.
In the eyes of his old partner, Cao Zhenrong loves the lights. Daily eating and wearing are small sections, but only those related to the lights are the top priority. This nearly eighty-year-old man thinks every day about how to tie the lights well and pass on this old craft.

After a month of meticulous creation, 12 leaf tiger paintings by Suzhou painter Pang Yande were also recently completed.
These lifelike tiger paintings include sycamore leaves, climbing tigers, sheepshoe leaves, etc. Among them, the largest leaf is painted with seven tigers, each with a different look.
