Rulai immediately resigned from the jade emperor gods, and when he and the two gods went out of the heavenly gate, he issued a compassionate heart, recited the mantra of mantra, summoned a land god from the Five Elements Mountain, and together with the five parties to reveal the truth, live in this mountain and imprison. But when he was hungry, he ate iron balls; when he was thirsty, drank with his melted copper juice.
It turned out that the Five Elements Mountain was not Sun Wukong alone, Rulai also sent the black-clad people around him to reveal the truth here, who dared to come, Rulai would immediately receive a whistle-blowing call. The sound alarmed Bodhi, who was sleeping at noon, and he immediately came out with his staff and nervously asked who had come in? After learning the truth of the matter, he scolded Sun Wukong and expelled him from school and drove him down the mountain.
From this incident, it can be seen that he is a very low-key immortal, otherwise he would not have hidden in the mountains to teach disciples. With his strength, chain stores should have spread all over the three realms long ago.
And Sun Wukong's suppression of the Heavenly Palace made everyone in the Three Realms know everything, as long as Bodhi came forward, the paparazzi immediately flocked to it, and immediately they would be hot searched in the Three Realms, and he wanted to be low-key and invisible, so he did not dare to come forward.

In fact, the Quasi-Ti Dao and the Guide Daoist are only two characters in the "Fengshen Yanyi", and they have no half-cent relationship with Rulai and Bodhi in the Journey to the West. Bodhi does not come forward, of course, not to be afraid of Rulai.
So, what is the real reason?
Let's first look at what Grandmaster Bodhi said when Sun Wukong came down from the mountain——
"You're going to be bad. Depending on how you cause trouble, you are not allowed to say that you are my disciple. If you say half a word, I will know it, peel the skin and file your lynx, reduce your spirit to the nine ghosts, and teach you that you must not turn over in all disasters! ”
Many people believe that Bodhi Guru broke off the master-apprentice relationship with him, and even his name was not allowed to be mentioned by monkeys. Since it is a severance of relations, when Sun Wukong is killed, he will certainly not come out to save him.
But there is also a sentence in front of this: "You are going to be bad." It can be seen from this that Sun Wukong made a big fuss in the Heavenly Palace, and the divine operator Bodhi had already predicted it.
Since he had predicted that he would make a big fuss in the Heavenly Palace, he naturally knew that in five hundred years Tang Monk would come to save him. Therefore, there is no need for Bodhi to appear.
Some people may also say that Sun Monkey was his apprentice, but Rulai used means to suppress him for five hundred years, and then let the Tang monks give him favor and enslave him with a tight hoop curse, so that he was forced to walk 108,000 miles. As a master, does Bodhi endure such a sin in his beloved disciples?
In fact, when Sun Wukong showed off the seventy-two changes and changed a pine tree to his brothers, Bodhi Grandmaster taught him——
"This work, can it be shown off in front of people?" What if you see someone else having one, don't ask him? When others see you, they will beg you. If you fear evil, you will preach it to him, and if you do not preach it to him, you will do harm: your life will not be safe. ”
This shows that Bodhi is very aware of Sun Wukong's habits, that is, he loves to show off means, like a wild horse, he has not been tamed, and naturally he cannot get on the right track.
At the Guanyin Zen Temple, when Sun Wukong showed off his robes to Elder Jinchi, Tang Monk also said something of very similar significance——
"You have not paid any attention to it, for the ancients had clouds, and treasures and good things, and they should not be seen by greedy and treacherous people." If it comes into sight, it will move its heart, and if it moves its heart, it will give birth to its plan. Ru is a man who is afraid of misfortune, and he must respond to his request; otherwise, he will perish and die, and it will not be a small matter. ”
Both masters were warning him to keep a low profile, or he would get into trouble. It can be seen that even after being imprisoned for five hundred years, Sun Wukong still has not changed this problem, which is why Guanyin still wears a tight hoop spell on him.
More importantly, what mountain is it that suppresses Sun Wukong? Five Elements Mountain (many people mistakenly write five finger mountain), Sun Wukong is also called Golden Ape, indicating that he is still in the Five Elements. The mantra on the top of the mountain, "Oh, Ma, Oh, Mi, Mi, Oh", is the six-character mantra of Guanyin, also called the Heart Mantra, indicating that Sun Wukong was actually trapped by his own heart.
This is similar to the Tightening Mantra, also known as the Mantra of Concentration, when Sun Wukong obtained the True Scriptures and became a Fighting Buddha, he asked Tang Monk to obtain the Tight Hoop For him. Tang Monk said, your inner demons have been solved, the tightening spell naturally does not exist, and you touch your head.
As soon as he touched it, the tight hoop was gone.
Therefore, Sun Wukong is not so much suppressed by the Five Elements Mountain, but rather that he is trapped by his own heart demons, and Rulai is to get rid of his heart demons, which is not harming him, but helping him, and his ideological values are completely consistent with Bodhi, how can Bodhi rescue the monkey?
If Sun Wukong can't even survive this setback, what is the use of his great ability to learn? If he can get through this, why should Bodhi come forward?
After Sun Wukong became a Buddha, he completely understood this truth. Therefore, to defeat the Buddha is not to defeat others, but to overcome oneself.
