"I want to dedicate everything to the party and fight for the cause of communism all my life!"

"If you don't get on the hero list, you will paint the martyr's monument!"

"I am not a hero, those comrades who sacrificed are the real heroes."

…………

On the stage, the sonorous words of the old hero struck the hearts of every audience, and the scene resounded with warm applause for a long time.

On the afternoon of January 23, the Chengdu City Concert Hall, produced by the Propaganda Department of the Guang'an Municipal Party Committee of the Communist Party of China and created by the Chengdu Art Theater Drama Troupe, staged a large-scale original drama "Ordinary Hero", reproducing the life and death experience of Chai Yunzhen, the winner of the "July 1st Medal", the special meritorious hero of the Volunteer Army and the first-class combat hero Chai Yunzhen in the Park Dafeng Resistance Battle, as well as the deeds of hidden merit and selfless dedication.

The play begins with Chai Yunzhen greeting home the remains of his comrades who died in the Korean battlefield. On the stage, Chai Yunzhen wore a military uniform, wore a medal, and introduced himself. On the circular turntable in the center of the stage, the unexpected encounter between the young "Chai Yunzheng" and the elderly "Chai Yunzhen" instantly pulled the audience's thoughts back to 1951.

In the battle of Park Dafeng, Chai Yunzhen led his comrades-in-arms to brave the intensive artillery fire to launch a fierce attack on the enemy on Park Dafeng, conquering three enemy-occupied mountains, annihilating more than 200 enemy troops, destroying one of the enemy's command posts, and fighting bloodily until he was alone. After returning to Yuechi County with disabilities and demobilization, Chai Yunzhen hid his fame for 33 years, did not mention his own merits, worked as a farmer in a down-to-earth manner, successively served as a township chief, the president of a cooperative, and other positions, leading the villagers to grasp production and construction, and silently dedicating himself to the party and the people.

The whole drama consists of 7 acts, based on real people and historical events, and artistically reproduces the moving deeds of Chai Yunzhen, the hero of the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea, in a way that intersperses narratives. A circular turntable is set up in the middle of the stage, and with the use of multimedia, the audience can be immersed in the reverie of space transformation, so that the young "Chai Yunzheng" and the elderly "Chai Yunzhen" can switch back and forth in different time and space, so that the image is more full and vivid.

Nearly two hours of performance, the hero's fearless selflessness inspires people and shocks the heart, and the multi-act plot constantly touches the audience's tears.

"Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea, Defend the Family and Defend the Country!" Obey orders and fulfill the tasks entrusted to us by the Party and the State!" I am a member of the Communist Party, and it is my duty to do things for the people!" I don't want to cause trouble for the organization and the country, I have hands and can support myself!" ...... The old hero's simple words are loud and loud, hitting the audience's heart. At the end of the play, when the actors closed the curtain, everyone stood up and applauded, and the applause was endless.

The ordinary casts greatness, and heroes come from the people. "Chai Yunzhen is a hero of Guang'an and a hero of the whole country, but he is also an ordinary person, so we call him an ordinary hero." We hope that through the drama of "Ordinary Heroes", we will pay tribute to the heroes, and at the same time pass on the spirit of ordinary heroes in Chai Yunzhen to the audience, pass it on to more people, and let everyone learn from the hero. General director Wang Xiaoying said that the actors were full of passion, and the performance achieved the desired effect.

"The performance was shocking and touching, recreating Grandpa's ordinary and glorious life." Chai Yunzhen's granddaughter Chai Ping wiped her tears as she watched. In Chai Ping's impression, Chai Yunzhen is a very "old-fashioned" person, and he has always warned his family not to reach out to the party and the government, and to find ways to overcome difficulties.

There is such a scene in the performance that makes a deep impression on Chai Ping: Chai Yunzhen's wife, Liu Chuanqiong, asks Chai Yunzhen why she did not apply for a "peasant to non-agricultural" account for her daughter, and why she did not find a good job for her son. "Grandpa often told us that as a party member and cadre, we must lead by example and cannot engage in specialization." Chai Ping said emotionally that this noble quality of grandpa was vividly reflected in the performance, and thanked the Chengdu Art Theater Drama Troupe for its dedicated performance.

"It's a heroic epic, very educational!" A citizen from Neijiang, You Weishan, learned that "Ordinary Heroes" was staged, and specially came to watch with his family, after watching it, his heart could not be calm for a long time: "Remembering history and remembering heroes, we should let future generations understand the stories of these heroes, understand the hard-won of the current beautiful life, cherish the present, and strive for the future!"

"Countless ordinary heroes have worked hard and gathered into a torrent of China's high spirits in the new era." In the view of Li Yuanming, a citizen of Chengdu, Chai Yunzhen defended his family and defended the country on the battlefield for nine lifetimes, and after his demobilization, he did not mention anything about his personal honor, was willing to work hard at the grass-roots level, dedicated his life to the party and the people, adhered to the true color of heroes with the attitude of ordinary people, and vividly interpreted the connotation of "ordinary heroes". It is countless such ordinary heroes who have built a great wall of steel for national tranquility, unharmed mountains and rivers, and the happiness and well-being of the people.

"From the spirit of the characters to the style and style, from the creative integration to the stage presentation, I was greatly shocked. When the great spirit of the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea is constantly recounted in the new era, the feelings brought to our younger generation are tremendous. Yang Muqing, a citizen of Chengdu who took his daughter to watch the performance, said that "Ordinary Heroes" took everyone into Guang'an, a heroic city flowing with revolutionary blood, so that the next generation can understand that today's happy life is made by ordinary heroes like Chai Yunzhen with the heart of a child and the body of steel, and they will always be remembered and remembered by the world!
