Recently, the drama "Ordinary Hero", which was created based on the deeds of Chai Yunzhen, a first-class combat hero of the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea and a recipient of the "July 1st Medal", was staged in Chengdu.

Produced by the Propaganda Department of the Guang'an Municipal Party Committee and created by the Chengdu Art Theater, this drama is listed as a major literary and artistic project in Guang'an City, and is also one of the achievements of Guang'an's in-depth study and education of party history with the help of red resources.

Since last year, Guang'an has made full use of red resources such as Deng Xiaoping's hometown to activate red resources and polish red business cards by creating and arranging literary and artistic works, building or repairing red punch cards, and carrying out special activities.

A drama that moves people with the true colors of a hero

On the battlefield of the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea, Chai Yunzhen led three comrades-in-arms to brave the intensive artillery fire to launch a fierce attack on the enemy on Pu Dafeng, conquering three enemy-occupied hills, annihilating more than 200 enemy troops, and holding the position alone. In 1952, he was demobilized from his injuries and returned to his hometown to work as a farmer, and for more than 30 years, Chai Yunzhen was famous. In 2021, Chai Yunzhen was awarded the "July 1st Medal".

The drama "Ordinary Hero" adopts the method of interspersed narrative, telling the story of Chai Yunzhen's experience of the Battle of Park Dafeng and his dedication after returning to his hometown, always maintaining the true color of a hero. As a major literary and art project in Guang'an City and a key creative project of Chengdu Art Theater in 2022, "Ordinary Heroes" specially invited the main creative teams inside and outside the province to work together to produce.

In order to gain an in-depth understanding of Chai Yunzhen's life deeds, the main creators of the play consulted a large number of books about Chai Yunzhen, and visited Chai Yunzhen's relatives and friends in Yuechi many times to dig deep into the story of this heroic figure.

"I went deep into the landscapes and rivers of Yuechi County, Chai Yunzhen's hometown, and heard the admiration of the people in his hometown, I was deeply moved." Chai Yunzhen elderly actor Fang Tao said. At the beginning of December 2021, more than 60 people from the whole crew, including directors and actors, began to study the script and repeatedly polished and revised the script.

Chai Yunzhen's eldest granddaughter Chai Ping said: "I have never seen a drama, the first one I watched was a drama about my grandfather's deeds, which was very shocking, and there were many plots that touched people, and I seemed to have walked into the plot, and young people could draw strength from it." ”

As early as before the performance of the drama "Ordinary Hero", Guang'an used Chai Yunzhen's heroic deeds to strengthen publicity and guidance, combed through the chronology of Chai Yunzhen's life, edited and produced reading materials for Chai Yunzhen's heroic deeds, and literary and art workers also created the money board "Buried Hero Chai Yunzhen (Searching for People Notice)", the song "Old Hero", "The Light of Faith", and the quyi drama "Hero's True Colors".

Since last year, Guang'an has continuously strengthened the collation and research of red culture, created literary and artistic works, and successively created and arranged large-scale revolutionary historical Sichuan opera "Faith", quyi drama "Red Cuckoo", red music stage drama "Red Rock Soul", etc., enriching Guang'an's red literary and artistic achievements.

"Next, Guang'an will work with the main creative team of the drama "Ordinary Heroes", combined with expert opinions to polish and improve, and plan to tour in the province in April and May this year, and enter Beijing in June, so that "Ordinary Heroes" will become a boutique of the times." A hot land of red spiritual inheritance

Before the Spring Festival, the memorial exhibition of female fighters of the Huaying Mountain Uprising was completed and started trial operation in Liangshuijing Village, Lushi Town, Huaying City, Guang'an. Based on the historical facts of the armed struggle in the HuayingShan area, the exhibition uses laser projection, art prints, wall art, film animation, etc., to vividly reproduce the revolutionary struggle process of Deng Huizhong, Liu Longhua, Chen Lianshi, Yang Hanxiu and other female fighters who are not afraid of strong enemies, are indomitable, and regard death as a homecoming.

Gwangan is a red hot land. Deng Xiaoping was born and raised here, and the heroic martyrs of Hongyan fought here; the ruins of the Third Line are well preserved...

Since last year, Guang'an has made full use of its abundant red resources to build a red front, carry out red research and study, promote red tourism, and promote the development of the cultural tourism industry.

In June 2021, wusheng red culture park was completed. In the park, there is not only the former residence of Yang Yiyan, one of the authors of "Red Rock", but also the Chuxin Hall, which integrates the Party History Museum, the LianShi Museum, the Pioneer Hall, and the Tongxin Hall. This is also a red cultural punching place added by Guang'an after the exhibition of Bi Zhanyun's life deeds in Huaying City.

At present, the "Chai Yunzhen Exhibition Hall" is being built in Yuechi, using pictures, texts, physical objects, videos and other means to arrange and exhibit Chen Chai Yunzhen's heroic deeds and relics before his death, educate the public in revolutionary traditions, and create an atmosphere of "learning from heroes, loving heroes, and striving to be heroes".

At the end of December 2021, the "Symposium on Inheriting the Spirit of Hongyan and Commemorating the 60th Anniversary of the Publication of "Red Rock" was held in Wusheng, Guang'an, where dozens of domestic experts and scholars linked up online and offline to relive the classics, deeply interpret and inherit the spirit of Hongyan. Xu Yunfeng, Sister Jiang, the old lady with two guns, the little radish head... These familiar characters are all from "Red Rock". "It can be said that the author of Hongyan is in Guang'an, the scene of Hongyan is in Guang'an, and the spirit of Hongyan is in Guang'an." Hou Lixin, former director of the Guang'an Municipal Party Committee Party History Research Office, said.

On March 21 last year, the Guang'an Red Research And Learning Alliance was established in Deng Xiaoping's hometown. By the end of 2021, the alliance has created a number of red study tours such as "Deng Xiaoping's Hometown Remembrance Tour", cultivated 4 research and education brands such as "Xixian Classroom • Building Dreams and Voyages", carried out more than 2,000 theme study activities throughout the year, and participated in more than 100,000 students.

As the construction of the twin-city economic circle in the Chengdu-Chongqing region continues to deepen, Guang'an has also strengthened cooperation with the adjacent areas of Chongqing. As the only county-level museum in Guang'an City and an important position of red culture in Linshui County, the Linshui County Museum has continuously strengthened exchanges and cooperation with neighboring districts and counties such as Longevity and Matjiang, and exhibited the treasures collected by the Matjiang Cultural Center in Linshui. At present, Guang'an has cooperated with Chongqing, Nanchong and other places to work closely with more than 20 museums, red tourism scenic spots and research institutions in Sichuan and Chongqing to launch red tourism boutique routes such as "one-day tour", "three-day tour" and "five-day tour".
