From April 29th to 30th, the large-scale anti-corruption original drama "Traces" jointly created by Guangdong Performance Co., Ltd., Guangzhou Institute of Literary and Artistic Creation, and Guangdong Art Theater Stage Art Incubation Center was performed in Guangdong Art Theater for 3 consecutive performances. The refreshing stage presentation and the moving interpretation of the actors' true feelings deeply affected the audience. The reporter learned that the next round of performances of the play has also been scheduled, and it is planned to perform 10 consecutive performances from May 27th to 31st.
The plot is adapted from a true story, telling the story of Xu Guoming, deputy head of a high-tech cooperation zone in a certain city, who was prosecuted by the procuratorate for corruption and bribery. However, the great changes and pain in the family have long been caused by Xu Guoming's corruption, and those corrupt behaviors that they thought left no trace have left a trace of the entire family. The repertoire creatively focuses on the families of "dismissed" officials, focusing on the family turmoil caused by corruption, and focusing on the people around them who have been hurt. "The mistakes made by a person often let the people around him share the responsibility for him", through the collective concept of "co-bearer" to carry out warning education, and convey the awareness of family honesty and family style in a subtle and silent way. "It's not your own money, it's a crime to take a penny" and "You can't use our clean money to pay for his greed" and other lines in the play also left a deep impression on the audience.
In addition to the unique narrative perspective, the avant-garde stage design, metaphorical and symbolic stage setting and intermission design also give the anti-corruption drama a new look. The stage as a whole focuses on a modern and freehand visual style, with gray and white as the main color, several circular screens with iron chain patterns surround the people in the story, and irregularly shaped platforms organically cut the performance space. The irregular screen design hanging in the center of the stage leaves enough room for the audience's imagination, which is a crack that "is difficult to complete when the mirror is broken", a truth that "has traces to follow", and a "sword of anti-corruption" hanging high.
Up to now, the drama "Traces" has been held in Guangzhou for two rounds, with a total of 5 performances, attracting nearly 6,000 audiences into the theater to enjoy, and the next round of performances will be performed 10 times in May. It is understood that in recent years, Guangdong Performance Co., Ltd. has relied on the Guangdong Art Theater to build a stage art incubation center, and has taken the lead in creating a number of stage art works that are both contemporary, ideological and artistic, and the response has been good. In addition to the anti-corruption drama "Traces", the first drama "Spring Garden • 1923" will also usher in the sixth round of performances at the Guangdong Art Theater in July, and the drama "Chinese Boy" based on the first generation of red scarves in Guangzhou Luo Zhiqun and Deng Jindi will also be officially unveiled this year.
